kalahaine
Hello all, I am new to the "Mac Universe". I discovered Apple a few month ago when I was offered an iPhone3G. As a programmer, I would really like to play a little with the iPhone SDK. Thta's why I decided to install iDeneb on my DELL Inspiron 6400. I followed a french tutorial to do so and it worked pretty good until I had t reboot after finishing the installation. Indeed, I got a "chain boot error". I read a few topics there and read that I had to use a primary partition to install OSX. I modified the logical partition I had tried into a primary partition, formatted it and launched the iDeneb DVD again. No I have got another issue I do not manage to solve: at the beginning of the installation, I have to format my MAC partition to MS-DOS then extended mac osx (journalised). When trying to do this operation, I get an error message telling the "disc has been lost" during formatting. I've tried again many times but I can't solve this issue. Could you please give me advice to get it work ? Thanks a lot. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141720-installation-issues/ Share on other sites
