"Still Waiting For Root Device" Issue with both iDeneb and Kalyway installs

I am having an issue installing 10.5 on my Toshiba A105-S2071 with 1.5GB of RAM and SSE2. I have made 3 DVDs trying to get Leopard installed. 1 with the iDeneb 10.5.5 install which booted up to the gray apple screen with an X, another with iDeneb 10.5.5 patched with the nForce patch which gave me the still waiting for root device message, and now with Kalyway 10.5.2 when I get the same message saying still waiting for root device. There was also a message above that message which said appleps2controller timed out on keyboard input stream. Any suggestions on what to do next?
