trond
Hi all, Can someone please help me to find out what is going wrong during my install? Please see attached image. My laptop is Asus A8JS: Core 2 Duo, Nvidia 7700 Broadcom network card (Apple Airport Extreme) Intel 945PM chipset Also, I do not have any ACPI settings in my bios. DVD install is iAtkos 5. I have found an article that suggests to delete "IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext" but I cannot access the file system (link below). I have even tried booting as a single user to get access to file system, but the prompt froze (as well). http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...rt=#entry627534 Help much appreciated! OCM770
You can boot into the OS using the iATKOS DVD by typing rd=DiskXsY (X and Y being HDD and Partition where OS X is) This will load your OSX from the HDD using the Disk files Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141032-iatkos-5-freezes-during-reboot/#findComment-999030 Share on other sites

I do not understand how this would help me? The laptop is already booting from the disk (unless you mean DVD, which leads me to believe that I should boot the DVD and use it to access the harddrive files to delete the kext?) Thanks.
