pittel
Has anyone been able to load any other OS on this besides the destructive media-less recovery? OS X will not see the hard drive, retail version of XP, 2000, and or 2003 can not see the hard drive. I have tried zeroing out and, reseating the hard drive with no luck. The hard drive is detected in BIOS, and the hard drive tools from the manufacture all say the hard drive is working fine. Of course gateway support says they have not added anything that would prevent a retail version of windows to install. (getting hard to believe). I have this laptop and have not had any problems getting other operating systems installed. However, the first thing I did when I got the laptop was delete the recovery partition. I had no problems installing osx86 and gentoo on this laptop.
