installed 10.5.5 iatkos on my c751nr and the cpu would run about 78-82 celsius. thought this was a little high so i did some checking around and found this: 10.5.3 Power Management

figured what the heck so installed it. replaces appleacpiplatform.kext and something else. so i rebooted and check my cpu temp with this command:

sysctl -a | grep cpu_temp

i think this command only works if you have the speedit framework installed but anyway my cpu temp now shows up between 46 and 50 celsius. major improvement! my laptop palmrest is no longer frying eggs! ;)

let me know if this helps you out
