Natedoggy Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 I recently had to install a new main board into my HP DV6000 and the supplier sent me one for a Compaq V6000. Basically the same exact main board except that the splash screen is now Compaq and inside the bios it says its a Compaq also. What I want to know is there anyone here that can fix me a bios wph file to allow me to flash this new board into the HP board that it should and used to be so I don't have an HP in Compaq clothing. Also none of my recovery disks will work any longer either as it says not right model board for these recovery disks. Any help here would be greatly appreciated in getting this laptop back to an HP that it is supposed to be.
