Hi all!

i have a strange network problems on my onboard network interface.

MB: Biostar 6100 AM2

CPU: AM2 Athlon XP 3200+

I'm using iDeneb 1.3 with 10.5.5 OSX and XNU kernel 9.4.0 because with default it fails to boot.

I have PCI-X GF8500 Gigabyte videocard which working fine with NVInject.

System boots and all applications are working but i have no sound and my network interface don't get IP through DHCP.

I set IP manualy but can't ping any other machine in the network. I'm using forcedeath driver from iDeneb DVD.

The secod problem is that i can't figure which soundcard i have and so, i can't find useful drivers for it.

i'm open a terminal and try:

#ifconfig

And the system displays en0 interface that seems to be working but realy no.

And my questions :

- Does anybody know how to fix LAN problem? And is this a typicaly problem?

- How to determine the audio chip and driver which i need to use?

Thanks to all, and sorry for my bad english ;) Greetings from Ukraine.

Looks like your chipset is NVIDIA nForce 410 MCP & your audio is Realtek ALC850 AC97 7.1: http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdetails.asp?m...TFORCE+6100+AM2

LAN

Try this for your LAN issue nForceLAN.kext: http://rapidshare.com/files/171102326/nForceLAN.kext.zip

AUDIO

It looks like others have had good results selecting "AC97" or "850" as the driver option. I have not used iDeneb so Im not sure what options it gives. Look for AppleAC97Audio.kext

If you are not 100% familiar with installing drivers try Kext Helper: http://cheetha.net/

Let us know if this works out for you.

Hi! Thanks for reply!

The network problem is fixed. I'm disable internal network controller and insert my old PCI card on 8139 chip. It works perfect! I'm writing this message from hackintosh.

But the audio problem is still exists.

I'm try several kexts of AppleAC97Audio (different sizes) and AppleAzaliaAudio.pkg but there are no sound and there are no any devices listed in system profiler.

I think i have ALC655 audio codec on Nforce chipset.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Hmm well it is possible that your Audio's Device ID is not in the kext. You can use a program called DPCImanager to show the Device ID & Vendor Numbers of all devices on-board and connected to your computer. http://v4.kazzuya.com/dpcimanager See if you can find the Device ID and Vendor ID for your audio.
