Hi guys

I am wondering why divix performance in unix/linux system is so small. I don't mean that film are not smooth or something like that. I just compare CPU usage on linux/windows

I now that windows has good drivers but. Most distro detect my hardware correctly and I have HW accel.

Kororaa XGL live demo detects my hardware and has new X org and Nvidia drivers. But when I play dvix in totem I have something like 25% usage of 2.5 GHz CPU, in windows is about 10 %

This same is in mac os X but I rather wont focus on linux. I don't have any HW accel on mac.

How it's yours playback? Did you use some special optymalization/settings to get film accel to the limits?

Use VLC, I have 5 to 8% CPU usage watching a full screen divx on Suse10 with the latest ATI driver (PM 1.6Ghz)
