Kingsid3
Hey all, i have had a Working and stable Leopard now for 24 Hours, but i can't get it to mount any of my USB devices. I'm using a USB keyboard and mouse, but when i plug in a USB Flash drive it doesn't let me get to it! It shows the drive in System Profiler, but i can get to it. Any ideas? I use the JAS leopard disk, I'm on a Asus P5ld2 SE mobo. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139717-usb-drives/ Share on other sites
tristanb30
There are some fixes in the forums for this problem, have a little search. Other than that, if youre feeling lazy you might want to try and boot with the usb drive allready in. This was a quick fix for me, no usb storage devices were mounting untill one was in my pc on boot. Now i just leave one in all the time and everything mounts fine. Hope this helps, Tris Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139717-usb-drives/#findComment-999248 Share on other sites
Lanceomni
USB problems Most likely your Kernel & system.kext versions are not matching. They should match example: Kernel 9.5.0 System.kext 9.5.0 You can check your kernel version by typing this in Terminal: uname -a You can check your System.kext version by right clicking the System.kext (Found in System/Library/Extensions/) and selecting "get info". This usually causes problems where USB devices are only recognized when they are plugged in at boot but there are other related issues. Check this post out is has a detailed explanation of the problem and a download for fix with an installer: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=95789 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139717-usb-drives/#findComment-999260 Share on other sites
