Problem connecting to internet

so far ive installed lawlessPPC 10.5.4 on my amd machine and work quite fine.. installed the nvidia lan driver and succeed.. but i got problem connecting to the internet.. can someone help me.. im using a netgear wireless router.. but not using the wireless interface instead.. coz it situated on my pc.. so can someone help me to connect to the internet..

I am not sure if I understand correctly. You say you have installed Lawless 10.5.4 & the lan drivers successfully but you can not get on the internet? You say you are NOT using wireless and that you are connecting via an ethernet cable into your router?

 

Under System Preferences/Networking what does it say?

 

1. Try double clicking on "Built-in Ethernet" and click on "Renew DHCP Lease"

 

2. Try plugging your computer directly into your modem to see if the issue is with the router. Id also recommend resetting the modem after doing this.

tried everything but nothing seems to work.. and i think im done with os x x86.. holiday will end soon so no time to explore it anymore.. any tutorial or links that anyone could point me to.. im using mcp55 nvidia lan adapter(built-in mobo).. the driver is installed perfectly but could not sonnect to the internet trough router nor direct to dsl modem.. tried automatic setting and did the manual setting but not showing any progress.. really disapointed.. if only the internet work.. i ca just use os x x86 to surf around and improve my drivers.. it is a troublesome booting into vista just to look for informations.. n to surf trough forum.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... #@##)_*&*&%%$^#&^$&^%*&%^
