rawkas
Well i've been reading alot over the past month, learnt all i need to know (I think) and bookmarked everything I need... Before I tell you my specs I've gotta say this has to be the most amazing thing I've come across. I'm a mac fan, a big one, going through my macs for years... over time I have had gone from one mac to another, getting a better and better one everytime. My last was a 2.4Ghz iMac. Needing something even faster to keep up with my projects, it was time to get the mac pro, my only option. So I thought. osx86 solves so much! cheaper, mostly faster. Its gonna cange my studio into a workhorse Annnnyyywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..... Gigabyte EP35-DS3L XFX 9800 GTX+ C2D E8400 2GB Ram 500Gb HDD Seagate Barracuda ASUS Wireless WL-138G V2 650W colors-it PSU What you think? rawkas
Yea im gonna use weaksuce12's guide to install. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...Weaksauce+guide If im correct with my parts and all goes well, i think that its a nice mixture of 10.5 for some kick ass rendering. and Vista/XP for some kick ass gaming. Its funny how sooo many people are changing from genuine macs to hackintosh. All being well im going to change 3 of the studio machines to the same spec, for the same price as i was going to pay for a Mac Pro! Tikakan
IMO Apple lacks a Quadra/Powermac 7500 like category atm or a "displayless imac in a miditower" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139396-first-build/#findComment-987373 Share on other sites
