I have a problem with my FSB speed the thing is that my BUS SPEED is not really 833Mhz it acually.... 800Mhz.......... the problem i have is that when i play i a movie in VLC it stutters the sound during playback... and when i start a song in itunes.... it has a scratchy sound.

here are my specs:

 

leop. 10.5.5

I have tried searching on forms and alot of people say to change the com.apple.boot.plist and that there is a string FSB=mhz option but i dont have, this is what i have in com.apple.boot.plist:

Your video and sound issue is more than likely nothing to do with this. Information coming into System Profiler is sketchy to say the least. It's cosmetic.

 

The real question is do you have QE/CI fully working with Hardware acceleration, and have you got a fully working AppleHDA.kext?

 

If you are that worried about the FSB, you can set it manually with a darwin bootflag. There are posts on this site relating to bootflags... just do some searching.
