Hi All

I need some help on how to set up dual booting on my acer aspire one. I want to install vista and leopard on the same internal hard drive with the option to choose at the boot up. I have had both os's up and running (thanks to the good work on this site, os's installed seperatly) and now wish to install both. Im a bit new to the dual booting so detailed instructions or a point in the right direction to a walk through would be appriciated.

Thanks for any help......

Try EasyBCD as follows:

In EasyBCD your BCD entry for OS X will not be pointing at the OS X boot file location, i.e. Darwin EFI bootloader (which then points to the OS X system)......so, try

1. Partition HDD into 2 primary volumes, install Vista on first primary volume and then set up OS X target volume on the second primary volume, partitioning it as MBR and formatting it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

2. Boot into Vista....go to EasyBCD.....then to Bootloader Management....and choose to "Reinstall Vista Bootloader"

3. Install the Darwin EFI bootloader/OS X setup

4. In EasyBCD add a new OS X entry

Hi thanks for the quick reply

I take it i install osx os at step 3 with the Darwin efi bootloader?

Also what would you sugest for doing the partitioning with? would the disc utility in leopard (running from the install disc) do the job ok? then install vista?

Thanks again....
