leeyowon Posted November 27, 2008 Share Posted November 27, 2008 Hello I just managed to install iDeneb v1.3 on my system, customising to have an atheros wireless driver which didn't work for my system. So I extracted the driver from iATKOS (whatever..) which I was using properly, and installed it either through kext helper or manually but it is not loaded. I'm sure Ive gone through the right step, including permission setting. In the terminal output it obviously says "driver loaded succesfully" but it's a lie because I can see NO IO80211family.kext loaded in "About this Mac" and.. advanced thing. A funny thing is that I installed an IONetworkingFamily.kext as well after the installation and this one works flawlessly. (means, loaded) Is it just a matter of driver uncompatibility? It's weird then, because I was using the io80211family.kext without any inconveniences. How would I solve this? I suspect that there is a kind of to-load-list and I need to edit this.
