No sound on Ventrilo

hey there,

this is my very first post on insanelymac so please forgive me if i posted this topic on the wrong place

anyways, my problem is, that i play guild wars a lot and i have a guild, so when we want to do some pvp together, we need ventrilo.

now, the problem is, that guild wars works perfect, but ventrilo doesn't. i installed gw with crossover games, ventrilo with crossover, both start and run, but i don't get any voice from ventrilo /i do get the sounds when i connect, but i dont hear people talking, and neither can i talk/.

i got a gigabyte ga-p35-ds3 motherboard, it has alc889a codec. i really hope someone can help me, i would appreciate it
