Hi,

I've managed to install iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 on an Acer Travelmate 4150; and after several (many :) ) frustrating trial and error installs, I've got it installed and booting :)

Its a basic install - I took the view that I should install as few extra components as possible to get a basic machine booting. Having done that I now want to try to get the rest of the hardware working (if possible).

Currently I have basic non hardware accelerated video, sound, mouse (but not trackpad). I want to try to get the ethernet card working, and if possible the wireless networking.

I'm now stuck with some basic Mac fundamentals - this is the very first time I've seen OSX (always been a Windows man); and I dont know where to start. What I'd like to do is use something like Device Manager or Add New Hardware to add the drivers for the network from the iDeneb CD (my thinking is they must be on there, I just chose not to install them)

But I dont know the Mac terminology and dont know where to start. All I know at this stage is that 'kext's are similar to Windows drivers ??

Any pointers would be very much appreciated;

Cheers

JD
