grc
Update 1: Never mind, I've just spotted the not-sticky thread about an update which obsoletes the forcedeth.kext, I'll try that first. I'm working on getting this configuration running: Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H NForce 630i chipset Pentium Dual Core E2180 2 GB DDR2 NVidia GeForce 8500 GT 256 MB I'm currently running the nforcekernel from the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD I tried loading the kext for the forcedeth driver (version 0.3) and the system console showed it loading but the interface never shows up in Networking (or ifconfig). The only thing I have in there is the firewire port. If more information is needed about the kext loading, console messages etc. I'll post that when I get home tonight. Is it possible to get the onboard ethernet to work with this configuration? It's a micro ATX motherboard and space would be extremely tight for a PCI Ethernet. Then I have the sound to consider as well, and there's only one 'spare' slot (and that is obstructed). Thanks!
