I have iDeneb v1.3 installed on a Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R and would like to know how to boot without the need for the AHCI BIOS since my existing Windows XP and Arch Linux installs on separate drives will not boot using AHCI. I have to disable AHCI in the BIOS before booting back into Arch. I haven't tried changing the fstab entry in Arch yet, maybe instead of using a UUID I could use /dev/sdb3? I know there is a hack to get XP to boot after enabling AHCI.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
