mateus109
Hi, I'm a noob to the Hackintosh world and so I thought I'd share my new Hackintoch with you! Using guide on TheReformed.org & various other guides across the net (including this forum), I've managed to get 10.4.10 running on my old Dell Inspiron 8200. Spec: P4 Mobile 1.6Ghz (SSE2), 512MB, Geforce 4 440 Go 64MB. What works: 1600x1200 resolution (using MacVidia drivers) Ethernet Sound (and volume buttons) Trackpad What doesn't work: DVD playback (app crashes) iWorks 08 (all apps just freeze) iPhoto doesn't render photos when editing Generally sluggish graphics (e.g. when using Dashboard or Expose) I'm guessing most of these problems are down to the lack of support for the Geforce 4 440 Go? It's not a common chip but it was used in the old PowerBooks so I would have hoped it would work better. Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, M.
