Hey,

I tryed to install OSX without sucess. I got this ''searching for root device'' infamous message. Basically my mobo doesnt support usb booting (P4S800). I also read that my SiS PCI IDE UDMA controler is probably the cause of all this pain. Does anyone can help me on this one?

Thnx,

Mike

To boot from USB use the bootloader from eXtended fdisk. Simply install the bootloader on your normal harddisk, switch to your USB-harddisk via tab-key and create a new bootentry. (Do not forget to create one for your other OSes). That way booting on USB-harddisks is possible even without a chipset that supports it.
