edridh
Ok, I have waited months for the new macbook and they've hit me with the lack of a firewire slot. So, I don't want to give in, I want to find a workaround and to utilise the firewire on my windows desktop. I have tried installing leopard before (kalyway 10.5.1) but it didn't work out see (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=92598 and http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=97086) So my questions to you are; is it going to be a viable stable Final Cut Pro system for importing video? And what is the best distribution to go with? My system spec is as follows Vista Home Premium SP2 Currently installed 500gb samsung hdd 965p-ds3 motherboard (gigabyte) e4400 overclocked 8600gt graphics 2gb ram What's the best disc for this, kalyway didn't really work out for me before and I had quite a few AHCI issues. I'd like to avoid reinstalling windows but do understand I may have to.
