Doug_M
Hi, I've installed iDeneb v1.3 on two machines. One is a P4 (SSE2) with all IDE drives. The other is an Athlon 64 with all SATA drives. On both machines, when I boot them I get the "still waiting for root device" error. However, if I boot with the install DVD and pass it the rd argument I can boot the rest of the os from the hard drive (works on both machines). I read in a previous post that I need to copy the files in the Extensions folder on the DVD to the hard drive. This makes sense except there is no Extensions folder on the DVD. I've looked through all the folders (yes via the terminal) and the Extensions folder is not where it should be nor is it anywhere else. Extensions.mkext is there and I tried copying that but it didn't make a difference, nor did copying the DVD's kernel. Obviously something is present on the DVD that is missing in the install, but I haven't got a clue what. Any ideas? Thanks, Doug Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/131259-ideneb-post-install-boot-problem/ Share on other sites
