aquanutz
The instructions are fairly easy in my opinion, but I guess you coudl be confused if you've never done anything like that before. When you are editing the ati9700.kext file in your terminal with nano (or pico... or vi) go to the line with the device ID's on it and on the right of that line by the edge of your window there will be a "$" which means there are more on this line, just keep pressing your 'right arrow' key and it will shift the line over and replace the ID in the koverg text with your Device ID. IF you don't know your device ID, go into your Sytem Profiler (Applications -> Utilities -> System Profiler) and under Graphics/Displays it will tell you your Device ID of your card... put that in the ati9700.kext. I hope this helped you. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13123-koverg-ati-patch/#findComment-83433 Share on other sites

I'm so used to one-click ATI driver installs... speaking of which, do official ATI drivers from the ATI website work? so could someone just give the barest dumbed-down step-by-step instructions?
