JMC137
Hi, I have Tiger 10.4.8 running beautifully on my notebook, originally from Jas 10.4.8 DVD and updated to 10.4.11. I just can't seem to get Leopard to boot after install on the same system...it just keeps restarting. I guess what I'm thinking is it is possibly the wrong kernel that I have installed for Leo. There is a list of Kernels with the iDeneb release: 9.4.0 StageXNU (Intel/AMD/SSE2/SSE3) 9.2.0 Sleep (Intel/AMD/SSE2/SSE3) 9.2.0 SpeedStep (Intel/AMD/SSE2/SSE3) My machine is really old, I have a Pentium 4 2.8GHz SSE2 (check specs below) and am wondering what kernel would be the most compatible. Maybe it is not a kernel issue but thought it's worth a quick post. Thanks, any help appreciated, JMC System Specs Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/130761-ideneb-1055-which-kernel/ Share on other sites
JMC137
Anyhow, I have installed with the SpeedStep kernel and am now able to boot into Leopard in safe mode only (-x at boot). Now I have a problem with the wireless card hanging hte system " failed to initDeviceFromService" or something.
