Preparing HFS+ partition from XP

Hi,

I have been trying to install leo4allv3 for last two weeks:-( I have Pavilion DV9720US notebook. When iam trying to create partition in installer i see "input/output error" or "The unidentifying task reported failure on exit". Then i decided to prepare HFS+ partition under my XP.

I walkthrough http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=5056 but my installer still cant erase HFS+ partition. Then i've tried many programs (Macdrive 7.0, HFSExplorer, TransMac 8.1) without any results (it looks like this HFS+ partition is not reconized as HFS+). It looks like my FUJITSU MHY2160BH (149 GB) is write protected??

I have no more ideas what to do. Any suggestions?

Same boat as you, when i get to the disk utility screen and try to erase the disk, it locks up the laptop and garbles the screen. Any luck with this yet???
