1)I have a USB 40G drive, with the help of Partitionmagic and "diskpart" command in WINDOWS command window, I partitioned it to

10G:AF

30G:FAT32

and installed the 10.4.5 (used the Apple disk utility to erase the AF part frist) on the first partion (AF)

when I tried to reboot the USB, it just stuck there, shows nothing ,only a blinking cursor

2) used the apple disk utility to partitioned it to 10G mac and 30G FAT32. then installed 10.4.5 .

when I rebooted, it sayed HFS+ error. also when I checked it in windows xp, the Partitionmagic says that disk is bad...

3)I can used the linux grub installed on HD make it boot:

title OSX_X86

rootnoverify (hd0,2) <- replace hd0,2 by the partition where you have copied chainloader files.

makeactive

chainloader /chain0

my question is how I can easily install the 10.4.5 to USB drive and make it bootable?? or is there a way to put the grub to USB without install linux on it?
