Mac Chris in Fl Posted March 22, 2006 Share Posted March 22, 2006 I got OSX installed last night with no problems, re-enabled the SSE3 as my processor can handle it. However, it appears that I can not get my USB ports/hub to work. I have looked for some solutions, but have not found anything that has worked. Does anyone have any ideas to get this to work? macprodan Posted March 22, 2006 Share Posted March 22, 2006 think i hear that some have success with the 10.4.3 IOUSBFamily.kext How did you re-enable SSE3 i been tryin to do this.. what CPU and what Patches did you apply to the kernel.? I can print, but i can not currently scan, it says that it can not find the device. I also have a webcam, it can't find. Not sure what is going on, has anyone had any experiences like this? I got my Nano to work but not my webcam (says not found). Any ideas? jchanc04 Posted March 28, 2006 Share Posted March 28, 2006 Ok just an observation. My usb was not working so a grabbed the kext from 10.4.3 and now it works. However, now I have noticed significantly more mouse tearing (USB mouse) after replaceing the IOUSBFamily.kext I'm not sure if this has been said or if anyone knows the cause of this tearing (just how to fix it) but does anyone think it could be related to this USB kext?
