Just wondering if anybody knows how best to troubleshoot long boot times? The system does boot and performs fine after it's up, there's just a 1-2 minute (yes, minute) pause during boot at the apple screen. I'm guessing a start with the system log to see if there's anything interesting there, was just wondering if there was somewhere else I needed to look.

Thanks!

That's really not too bad of a boot time over all.

You will get a much better view of what's happening if you type -v at the boot option.

I have a macbook, it boots much much faster (10-15 seconds from power switch to ready to use). I know on non-supported hardware I'm probably not going to get that fast, but I'd like to get closer :). Thanks for the advice, I'll check it out at home tonight.
