boxpurple Posted March 19, 2006 Share Posted March 19, 2006 Trying to install Mac OSx 10.4.4 HOTISO DVD onto a 10Gb drive natively, no other partition no XP OS. system setup P4I45GV Pent 4 1.8Gz All intel chipset. SSE2 supported. Disable all USB and other system devices. Boot from Mac OSx DVD and installation starts. Sees the drive and installs to completion. Restarting the machine. All I am getting is Searching for Boot Record from IDE0 OK 00 _ and a flashing cursor, nothing else. Been looking for info in the forum, not sure what I am missing here? Do I need to download a patch file? or missing the boot loader? Any hints would be most appreciated.
