bojan Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 Is there anybody who can help me or I’ll smash my DVD into pieces?!!! I have installed patched Kalyway’s 10.5.2 Leopard and everything looked fine, but when I tried to boot with DVD, the menu with personal information appeared and when I completed that, the bloody video started reappearing over and over again and I had to start everything from the beginning. So I’m stuck. Can I install JMicron patch for HDD using bootable DVD ‘cause I can not access HDD in any other way? I’ll be very thankful. silentdan Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 I had the same problem one on my laptop.In order to bypass the loop and get in to the system you need to do the following... 1- Boot up the pc and when osx starts to load at the darwin prompt press F8 2- Type -s which will take you in safe mode. 2- Type /sbin/fsck -fy and waith for the process to finish 3- Type /sbin/mount -uw / 4- Type touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone 5- Type passwd root and follow the prompts to change the password. once you are finished type exit until the pc starts to boot in to the os. Then once you are in you need to setup your account and anything else . Good Luck!
