VinnyPel2ella
i have searched everywhere looking for the answer to this and have had no luck in being able to fix it. I boot from DVD and it runs through some code(when i use the -v way of doing it) and it gets stuck. After a couple seconds it says "Still waiting for root device" and keeps repeating this, im sure most of you have heard of this problem. I have yet to be able to narrow down whats wrong, my setup: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 nVidia 8500GT 2gb DDR2 Ram Intel G33 chipset on Mobo 500 GB SATA II HD IDE DVD/CD Burner/Reader Please help i really want to get this to work im using iATKOS v4, just downloaded and installed today Since i posted this i have tryed many things in the bios with no luck. To be a little more specific i have 1 harddrive, its 500gb, with 3 partitions on it. 1 has my vista on it, the second is some recovery partition gateway put on it, and the third is 15gb of unallocated space. I wrote down the lines before this starts happening: From path: "uuid". Waiting for boot volume with UUID 2F9E0D... .(Line of some code i didnt write down) .(Line of some code i didnt write down) .(Line of some code i didnt write down) Extension "com.apple.driver.itunesPhonedriver"... Still waiting for root device(And this will continue to show about every 20 seconds but just this line) Please help, i really want to get this to work Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122030-keep-getting-still-waiting-for-root-device/ Share on other sites
