cringemaster Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 I had the same problem with iDeneb and with JaS 10.5.4, where after install I get "Still waiting for root device". I can boot into the desktop by using rd=disk0s1 with the DVD, but I also have no usb support. I'm pretty sure I have ICH4 because I have an i845g motherboard. Tiger had neither of these problems after boot, but maybe I'm just missing something. Is there a certain kext I need. I've tried google and couldnt find anything on either insanelymac or elsewhere. I also want to know if Natit will work under Leopard. It works fine under Tiger, and I have full qe/ci, but under leopard with NVKush I have no qe and software ci. Thanks. Ive tried swapping master and slave and running all different configurations, but I always get a still waiting for root device error.
