TokinDerrick
since the update to the second security patch for 10.4.5, my internet keeps dropping. the "local network" light on my dsl is what goes out. but all the regular lights on my linksys router are on. the only way to get back on the net is to restart the computer. it lets me on for bout 5 mins, sometimes 10. its very annoying. is this anything having to do with the update? nonhuman
I've been seeing this too. Only way I've found to restore net so far is to physically unplug the ethernet cable and then plug it back in. I did notice that about the sametime that I lost my net connection X-Charge stopped actually displaying my battery info (went to default icon) and I had to re-launch it to get it back. Seems likely that they're related issues. edit: Oh, I should also note that I haven't installed 2006-002 yet, my net dropping actually prevented the download from finishing. TokinDerrick
I've found out, that I can get it back by waiting for the local network light to come back on,a nd then doing the "network assistant" as the network diagnostics would just tell me to unplug it and plug it back in.
