InsanelyOne
I've got a fresh Kalyway 10.5.1 installation that has been updated to 10.5.3. I was running 10.5.2 without trouble (via a different hard drive) on this same computer. My Linksys wifi card (WMP54Gv2) has always worked beautifully in the past, and was immediately recognized as an AirPort card. Now it won't and I can't figure out why. I copied the AppleHDA.kext, IONetworkingFamily.kext and IO80211Family.kext files from my working 10.5.2 drive but that didn't fix the problem. Each time I reboot I have to manually connect to my wifi network. Secondly, my 7900GS card which also has never caused me any problems while using NVinject with my 10.5.2 installation now won't support CI/QE. I copied the NVDANV*Hal.kext, NVDAResman.kext, and NVinject.kext files from my working 10.5.2 drive and that didn't solve the problem. Ideas anyone? This is really bugging me cuz my video and network has worked perfectly with Leopard up until now. Any other kexts I should copy over from the working 10.5.2 drive? kramer2k
Did you chown / chmod? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120252-cant-get-ciqe-working-on-my-7900gs/#findComment-850842 Share on other sites
InsanelyOne
Did you chown / chmod? I used Kext Helper to install the kexts. I've done countless permission fixes and reboots. I don't think that's the problem. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120252-cant-get-ciqe-working-on-my-7900gs/#findComment-850847 Share on other sites

Did you try the Leopard Graphic Update that you can download from the apple site? That has solved many CI/QE problems for others. InsanelyOne
Did you try the Leopard Graphic Update that you can download from the apple site? That has solved many CI/QE problems for others. I ended up starting all over from scratch. Turns out I left out one rather important piece of information. When I did the install, I used Migration Assistant to copy over my apps and user settings from my MacBook. Seems that wrecked havoc on my installation. Reinstall with 10.5.1 Kalyway worked flawlessly.... all I had to do was install my backup of AppleHDA.kext to get sound. Video and Airport work just fine. Me = Happy!
