Already tried Aquamacs gfxutil-Method, but I still can't select any different res than 1024x768. QE is not working, System Profiler says that no kext is loaded. aqua-mac Posted August 9, 2008 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Have you looked inside your Extensions folder to make sure that there is no nvkush, natit or nvinject kexts in there. If any of them are gfx string will not work. In 10.5.4 you should use the standard kexts, not the ones I uploaded for 10.5.2. Did you have your card working in 10.5.2. I am using 2 9800 GTX's in 10.5.4 and they work a treat. Commodore-Freak Posted August 9, 2008 Author Share Posted August 9, 2008 Ok, i think I made a rather stupid mistake... I bootet up the system via the iDeneb DVD's bootloader. Using the bootloader on the harddisk, he does load the neccessary kexts, but they don't work. With -v i don't get error-messages, but Aqua simply doesn't launch. As i checked my kext-folder for any other NVinject or Natit-Kexts, I assume that the problem is the 10.5.2-hacked kexts instead of the original ones. So i just extract the original kexts from my iDeneb-DVD, place the 9800 nvinject kext in the kext folder, delete the cache-files, reboot and cross my fingers? Edit: Hmm, do I find the kexts on the iDeneb DVD? btw. i didn't try the card on 10.5.2, 10.5.4 is it's first release. I tried all those methods too.. still no QE Hi AQUAMAC, what else can i do to get my Asus 9800GTX+ 512 QE working? Any step by step explanation from fresh install?
