shanus
Hey all, I have an Intel DG965RY that has been running my Hackintosh for almost a year now. It was difficult to get installed originally, I had to get a SATA DVD drive and have it FIRST in the chain of devices to boot and install a Kalyway Leopard disc. After that though, with a third party LAN card, this Hackintosh has been super rock solid running 10.5.2 and Vista. I bought a new larger 750GB hard drive to install and realized, hey, all my original OS X discs don't boot now. The only change, a bios update to the latest version on Intel.com. Tell me, did this just break my OS X? I can boot from the old hard drive, but the very same DVD drive I installed from no longer works as a boot device... any ideas? I'm almost positive the latest BIOS update is the problem, I just want the community's feedback to be sure... shanus
Figured this out. The latest Intel BIOS update broke my system. Rolling back the BIOS and getting everything back to the way it was fixed everything up. As for your install, what's giving you trouble? How far do you make it...?
