Pochii
I have a Sony VAIO TX57GN, but it's screen brightness can only be controlled by the brightness setting in Windows (I have to boot into Vista, set the brightness, and then reboot into Leopard). Is it possible to port the SonyPi driver from Linux to OS X? How would one go about doing this? Pochii
Uhh, you don't have functions hot keys on your keyboard?! Ex: No. Unfortunately, the brightness cannot be controlled that way. In Windows, the only way to control the brightness is through Sony's own utility. FrankOS_Scripting
That sucks nuts! Better to try integrate linux code your OS X. Or try to xcode that but it's not very easy.. neos
Same here , using the same Vaio as yours VGN-TX57GN.... Brightness doesnt work at all , only the contrast..... Maybe it's because i'm using the old appleintegratedframebuffer.kext ( 1.4.18 ) can't even use the ( 1.4.20 and above ) I can only use the mute button , the rest ie... volume control , AV mode, play, stop and the rest doesn't have any reaction when i press them.....
