I have a Sony VAIO TX57GN, but it's screen brightness can only be controlled by the brightness setting in Windows (I have to boot into Vista, set the brightness, and then reboot into Leopard).

Is it possible to port the SonyPi driver from Linux to OS X?

How would one go about doing this?

Same here , using the same Vaio as yours VGN-TX57GN....

Brightness doesnt work at all , only the contrast.....

Maybe it's because i'm using the old appleintegratedframebuffer.kext ( 1.4.18 ) can't even use the ( 1.4.20 and above )

I can only use the mute button , the rest ie... volume control , AV mode, play, stop and the rest doesn't have any reaction when i press them.....
