Because i want something with a bit more kick, graphics wise i will be making videos and using programs like after effects. Game wise, ill stick with more simple games like warcraft 3 and Start craft 2 (when it comes out) Because it being a mac i cant play crysis and take advatage of some of the higher end cards like this. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=110366 but i would like something a bit better. Thanks. Edit: Cant the graphics card also deal with just making thinks run smoother, because i have 2 moniters and with spaces in both of them, i have a TON of stuff open. But on my curent IMAC (2.0 GHZ Intel, 2G of DDR2, Radion 1600X<--- something like that. But basicly things slow WAY down. Thanks again guys. Synaesthesia Posted August 9, 2008 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Check the OSx86 Wiki, there is a complete list of compatible cards. Lots of great cards work, like the 8800 GT and ATI 3870. The graphics card won't really help make things smoother in OS X though. CPU and RAM will. Get the fastest CPU you can, and 4 gigs of RAM.
