System Freezes

I'm running Kalyway 10.5.3 on anAsus P5W DH

 

Systems runs very stable, but sometimes will lock up, and freeze for about a minute then come back to life.

 

I have iLife08 and Xcode installed if that makes a difference.

Time Machine is running fine on an external USB drive.

 

While it is froozen, I get the spinning coloured disk, but I can still move windows on the desktop and the dock still reacts to the magnification (mostly)

 

Maybe one issue could be that I am running my windows partition on RAID using the ICH7R.

OSX popups a disk insertion error on boot, but I eject the disks, leaving my non-raid OSX disk running fine. (via the ICH7R)

 

Does OSX try to re-mount disks at some point?

 

Any ideas?
