USB not detecting on boot up or hot swapping

Im on an Asus A6TC laptop,running Kalyway 10.5.2, everything else is running almost perfectly with the exception of my wireless, which apparently has worked but connection to my router fails every time.

the one thing which I need help with is my USB's, their not working at all, with the OS booted up, or putting them in and then booting up the OS their not getting detected.

I have tried the USB fix and i have also tried -

 

kextstat | grep "USB"

 

which brings up -

noticing the problem i immediately -

kextload -b com.apple.iokit.IOUSBMassStorageClass

 

but they are still not working, so any help would be appreciated, thank you
