MxPxSumBlink4182 Posted August 5, 2008 Share Posted August 5, 2008 Im pretty much about to give up. Ive tried a few different install discs and just cannot get the wireless lan to work. Right now i have the Kalyway 10.5.2 installed. I have a broadcom 4311 pci-e card, i think, in a compaq v5204nr. There is a button to turn the wifi on and off and ive been reading on the forums about putting a piece of tape over some pins on the card to disable the switch but just cant get anything to work. I also have a little usb wifi card. its a Zonet zew2501, when i plug that into a windows computer it shows up as Atheros AR5007ug. If anyone can tell me how to get either of these cards to work i would be very thankful.
