joske
Hello, I'm trying to install Os X 10.4.4 on VmWare 5. I use the 10.4.4 bootable install dvd. When i boot with "-v" it hangs at: "Load of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 88" Anyone knows how to solve this? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11920-1044-vmware-error/ Share on other sites
joske
hmm, would it be better if I burned the iso to dvd in stead of mounting it? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11920-1044-vmware-error/#findComment-74900 Share on other sites

authortitle
You don't need to bother burning it, but you can't just select the ISO in VMWare either, as it has problems with Mac ISO's apparently. Download Daemon Tools and mount the install ISO, this makes it seem like it is a real CD-ROM drive to your machine, then select that "physical drive" as the CD-Rom source in VMWare and it should be OK...
