l3rett
To start, I tried to research as much as I could before attempting to install os x and create my "hackintosh" Here is the info I found on my motherboard: GA-965P-S3 Intel P965 + ICH8 * Install Method: Kalway 10.5.1, Kalyway 10.5.2 Combo Updater & Kalyway Kernel update (vanilla) or iATKOS and patch (see below) * Kalyway: (kernel panics with memory > 3GB) * Options: EFI_guid, Natit, ALC883, Vanilla kernel +fix * BIOS Version: F12; Revision: 1.0 * Audio: ALC883; Headphones work (only front panel jack), Line out not working, Digital out not tested * LAN: Marvell 8056 Gigabit; Works OOB * SATA & IDE: (both set to AHCI) Only Orange connectors (not purple); Works OOB * iATKOS: (kernel panics with memory > 3GB) * Audio: Works OOB * LAN: Need to repatch after update, save AppleYukon2.kext before upgrade and replace this file after upgrade, reboot twice * Install iATKOS 1.0i and then upgrade to 10.5.2 with guide here Audio: only headphone, lineout and digital showing in preferences: not fully tested Hardware: Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86 GHz 250 Gb WD sata Nvidia 8800GTS 2 Gb ddr2 800mhz ram I don't believe there is any more crucial information, I installed using Kalyway 10.5.2 Dvd, and created a new partition for os x.. about halfway through the installation a message popped up saying unable to install on this system, and then it rebooted, does anyone have ideas on what to do in order to successfully install? I didn't change any settings in my bios like I've seen people from other articles do before installing, is that the reason why my attempt failed? Thanks for any help on the matter in advance, Brett Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119129-failed-leopard-installation-attempt/ Share on other sites
