Guest BuildSmart
jojijioj The fact that you have no patience to wait for assistance and you are trying to edit the installer package shows how much you don't know about what it is you need to do. I will provide instructions, please don't question the instructions. Double click that installer. When it opens, in the "File" menu is an option to "Show Files", select it and copy the list of files to paste here later if needed. Complete the installation, reboot the machine and see if your wireless adapter is working. If it is not working come here and paste the list of installed files so I can tell you which file you need to edit. If it is working then you wasted our time because you couldn't figure out that you have to run the installer first before concluding that the driver needs modification. EriCKY
If you honestly believe that I didn't try to install it already :/ I'm just right now finally facing the facts that this adapter won't work. Even when I launch its settings from system configuration it tells me the driver won't runon an intel based mac. I've looked for newer ones but it's discontinued. Even when I launch its settings from system configuration it tells me the driver won't runon an intel based mac. I've looked for newer ones but it's discontinued. You don't provide enough information let alone the driver you're trying to make work. You don't know which file to edit and this stems from your lack of knowledge and understanding about the OS in general. I don't believe the adapter doesn't work or can't be made to work, I believe it is beyond your abilities to figure it out. Post all of the device ID's (product, vendor, subsys product and subsys vendor), the chipset the device uses and a driver you can find. It may be possible to decompile and generate an intel one if none exists. I asked you to post information and for whatever reason you did not do this, were my instructions too complicated for you?
