mikemore Posted July 25, 2008 Share Posted July 25, 2008 Salve ragazzi, espongo subito il problema: un mio carissimo amico ha un vecchio portatile che, dopo problemi di vario genere (è un Acer), ha ben deciso di non far più funzionare il lettore dvd, per tenerlo lì come soprammobile ha deciso, dopo aver visto leopard sul mio Pavilion, di metterlo su pure lui. La cosa è fattibile visto che ha come precessore un Pentium 4, il problema è: come installarlo ? Un lettore dvd esterno non l'abbiamo nè noi nè i nostri amici, comprarlo solo per quest'uso mi pare eccessivo, non rimane che, visto che è impossibile installar leopard da chiavetta usb (l'ho letto qui sul forum), tentar un collegamento tra 2 notebook, il suo ed il mio, e provare così, o al limite installare leopard su hd esterno e poi, se è possibile, riversarglielo sull'hd del suo notebook. Voi che consigliate ? E' fattibile una rete per installar leopard (a mò di MacBook Air) ? Cris900 Posted July 25, 2008 Share Posted July 25, 2008 Clollegare i due computer per installare leo è impossibile....macbookair puo usare la connessione wireless per connettersi al desktop perchè lo permette la sua scheda madre.....è l'unico che puo farlo dal boot...... secondo me ti conviene prendere un box esterno per cd/dvd e metterci il lettore dvd del fisso.......spendete massimo 20/30€ e poi visto che non ha un lettore dvd sul portatile un box esterno farebbe comodo..... E mi sa che alla fin fine farò così, devo solo procurarmene uno. Però, mannaggia, peccato che non sia possibile installare il tutto collegando direttamente i 2 notebook. Grazie comunque. M'n'M Quando tutto sembrava perduto, rovistando nelle impostazioni bios, pare che ora il lettore dvd riesca a fare il boot sul dvd di Kalyway, per ora, però, il portatile sta fisso sullo schermo nero con la barretta che ruota, dopo qualche minuto si riavvia da solo, ora sto provando ad avviare il boot con "-v -f", speriamo bene. Mah, vi terrò aggiornati, nel mentre, se avete consigli, consigliate pure, byez. M'n'M P.S. Trattasi di Acer Inspire 1603LM_2.6 Ehm, il fatto che abbia solo 256 mb di ram è un problema ? ;-) {censored} me ne sono accorto solo ora, mannaggia. Leopard vecchi che vanno anche con solo 256 mb di ram ? M'n'M Ancora aggiornamenti: ho provato con la vecchia Toh, bootta, con -v -f, ma poi si blocca con le scritte sul "Still waiting for root device". Ora cerco sul forum. Cris900 Posted July 25, 2008 Share Posted July 25, 2008 Leopard va solo con 512Mb di ram in su.....quindi ho fai un upgrade o niente leopard......kmq se il pc ha 256 di ram, anche se fai l'ugrade leopard sarà molto lento, immaginando le caratteristiche del notebook....comunque puoi sempre provare.......... Indipendentemente dall'avere l'ultimissima versione di Leopard, già una qualsivoglia versioni di Tiger, magari non troppo vecchia, sarebbe già qualcosa. Ho letto da qualche parte che è possibile far sì che un hd esterno, o addirittura un ipod, possano fungere da dvd di installazione, ho seguito la procedura descritta, avvio il portatile con l'hd usb connesso ma non succede nulla. A sto punto non so che fare, possibile ci voglia davvero un dvd esterno ? Come mai sto cacchio di errore ? Ho cercato, ho trovato molto ma nessuna soluzione. Che faccio ? Ho già settato nel bios quel che andava settato ma non lo caga. mikemore Posted July 27, 2008 Author Share Posted July 27, 2008 Il problema non sono tanto le caratteristiche del pc, quanto arrivare all'installazione dato che le versioni che ho provato o facevano riavviari il pc dopo il boot iniziale o arrivavano al classico stil waiting for li mortacci loro e quindi nulla da fare, vediamo ora sta distro.
