fuse1921
Hey everyone! So Im trying to install leopard on my Windows HDD but I am having trouble with partitioning. I already backed everything up so if you have radical ideas, im open, but I would like to not delete stuff. I shrunk my whole HDD from 400gigs to 150gig and now I have an NTFS with Windows in that partion and the rest is 'unallocated.' My problem comes in that when the Kalway disc asks me where to install, all it recognizes is the 150gig partiton that cant be formatted. How can I make it find the unallocated space? Do I just format it to FAT or a Linux partition and then reformat it with the Disk Utility, or do I have to find a way to format to Mac Extened(Journaled) inside Windows? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Fuse1921. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117545-help-with-kalwaypartitioning/ Share on other sites
JazzMan69
What I did was format the partition to be used for OSX as FAT32, primary, active. It detected that on the setup but you'll have to format it to Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) on the Disk Utility afterwards. I got it to install after that but now I just need to have it boot.
