All preferences reset after reboot

I installed the tiger-osx86-flat.img (deadmoo image) on my Toshiba Satalite A60. install went great. runs great. even better when I updated the mach_kernel and coregraphics for SSE3. ok here is the problem..

 

after all of that i rebooted. all of my preferences were lost. even all the tweaking with coregraphics and kernel..

It was all reset to what it was on first boot..

 

what do i do? was it me. a fluke. or what?
