Boot problems

Hi there, I have a Gigabyte P35-DS3L, intel core2duo E7200, 2Gb DDR2, ATi Radeon x1950Pro.

I have the SATA2 hard drive set as IDE at BIOS.

I tried the Flat image OSX 10.5 install, worked fine but couldn't upgrade, tried with several patched combo updates.

Now I'm trying with iAtkos v4i 10.5.4 DVD, it installs fine but freezes at next boot.

There is no error message, it just freezes after:

localhost fseventsd[24]: log dir: /.fseventsd getting new uuid : E5B086....

I have tried with -v, -x, -f.

I'm no expert on this, any advice?

Can I select different kernels or load different drivers at boot?

should I install again differently? If yes, how, because the installation didn't give me any options.

I need 10.5.2 and quartz for some software, so I think the easiest way is a OSX with EFI.

Should I better try Kalyway 10.5.2?
