ok, so I updated to Kalyway 10.5.3 last week and have had no problems until today...I tried to run safari to check a site and I get a message that says "Safari cannot open a browse window and may be missing important resources. Try installing Safari again."

off to apple to download a new copy...download complete, and I get another message saying "You cannot install Safari on this volume. This update requires Mac OS X 10.5.2 or newer."

?? any suggestions about this?

UPDATE:: I just updated to 10.5.4 and I get the same message...is there something somewhere that tells the system what version you're running?

If it helps. I have upgraded to OS 10.5.4. Safari keeps crashing. I have been told by Mac that Safari 3.1.1 is intended for Leopard while 3.1.2 is intended for Tiger and that I should be running 3.1.1. I have tried to download 3.1.1 and install and it tells me that I need at lease 10.5.2 in order to install (computer says system version 10.5.4 is running). They have suggested I reinstall the operating system.

I don't see how that will help, other computers running the same software having used the same multiple license software are also running Safari 3.1.2 on OSX 10.5.4

frustrated!!

If I have a suggestion it is to try Safari 3.1.1. Any ideas for me?

wow...so you're having problems running this on your mac? or am I mistaken? I can't tell which version I have running because it won't let me get that far. but I think the version I downloaded the other day was 3.1.1...but it still won't let me install it.
