Vicholio
Hello Well, I've installed Kalyway 10.5.2, but, It doesn't recognize my Ethernet adapter (Marvell Yukon 88E8036), so I edited AppleYukon2.kext to get it working. Then, I restart the PC, but then, after the wheel spins, I get a message that tells me to restart the PC, when I restart it, the same message appears. But, if I boot leopard with -x, it boots and I can go on Leopard and use my Marvell Yukon Ethernet Adapter, so I think the edition of AppleYukon2.kext worked. Someone can help me? PD: I used Diskutil to repair permissions and I veryfied it, and it told me that the disk was OK PD2: Sorry for my bad english, I'm latin-american Theres is a part of what I fet if I boot with -v -pci8086,27a0: family specific matching fails -Matching service count = 1 -ACPI_SMC_CtrlLoop:: initCPUCtrlLoop - pmCPUControl (PMIOCSETPSTATETABLE) returned 0xfffffffff -pci8086,27a0: family specific matching fails ... ... -skgeosx::start (PXS1) <1> -skgeosx ERR: pciNub -> open (this) failed -panic (cpu 1 caller 0x001A8C8A): Kerlel top at 0x1aea46d2, type 14= page fault, registers: ... ... -Error code: 0x00000002 -Debugger called <panic> ... ... -Backtrace terminated - invalid frame pointer 0 -Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependences): -com.msashi.skge (1.0.0) @0x1aea1000 -> 0x1aea7fff -dependency: com.apple.IOKit.IOPCIFamily -dependency: com.apple.IOKit.IONetworkingFamily -BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel task -MAC OS version: 9c7010 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116461-kalyway-1052-only-boots-with-x/ Share on other sites
mac_maestro
If booting with -x works, then why not stick with that? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116461-kalyway-1052-only-boots-with-x/#findComment-824722 Share on other sites
michealm
If booting with -x works, then why not stick with that? Booting with X is safe mode, no sound no accelerated graphics. I also have this problem and would love to know how to fix it.
